Meet our Indianapolis Dog Trainers!

Dawn Bailey – Owner & Head Trainer

Dawn Bailey is a professional Indianapolis dog trainer and dog behavior consultant serving the Indianapolis, Indiana area, including Carmel, Castleton, Greenfield, Greenwood, and Plainfield, as well as most of Central Indiana.

Dawn has been an animal lover her entire life. While growing up, she always tried to help animals in need, and she learned early on that the love a dog offers his/her human is unconditional. As an adult, to return the favor, Dawn decided to volunteer at an animal shelter. She quickly realized most of the dogs were there due to unresolved behavioral issues, so she took it upon herself to seek out education and training in an effort to keep more dogs in their homes, with their families, and out of shelters.

She completed the Canine Trade Group Professional Dog Trainer’s Course, which involved an extensive amount of bookwork on the scientific principles of canine learning theory and dog training, as well as an in-residence, hands-on component. The hands-on portion was perfect for Dawn because it involved working with rescue dogs previously-labeled “unadoptable” due to behavioral issues.

Whether you are dealing with aggression, anxiety, hyperactivity, disobedience, or you’re having difficulty house training, Indianapolis Dog Trainer, Dawn and Circle City Dog Training can help!

Jill Boyd – Professional Dog Trainer

Jill Boyd is a professional dog trainer and behavior consultant with Circle City Dog Training. She serves the greater Indianapolis area and most of central Indiana.

Jill has been an animal lover her entire life. She grew up on a farm in a small town west of Indianapolis. She first got involved in dog training at age thirteen, when she trained her German Shepherd in basic obedience for her local 4-H club. Suffice it to say she caught the training bug!

From there, she went on to show her Boxers in AKC competition obedience events. In her twenties, she worked as an assistant in a veterinary clinic and worked at the Humane Society and with Animal Care and Control. During these jobs, she made the connection between canine behavior problems and the number of homeless dogs. Most of the pups she came in contact with had been abandoned because the owners couldn’t figure out how to set boundaries and communicate with them.

For twenty years, she dedicated time to fostering and training shelter dogs so that they could be adopted into forever homes.

Jill has honed her professional dog training experience by completing the Canine Trade Group professional dog training course, and she often attends various dog sport clubs and seminars. She also has education and experience training working dogs.

She enjoys working with pet owners to help their dogs become more balanced and develop better relationships.
